Role Description: Test Engineer – Lights & Luminaires The Test Engineer will be responsible for conducting performance, safety, and reliability testing of lighting products and luminaires as per BIS requirements and relevant Indian and international standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform all required tests on lighting products (LED lamps, luminaires, streetlights, panel lights, etc.) in accordance with BIS and IEC standards. Conduct performance tests such as LM-79, IP, IK, life test, endurance test, surge test , and other applicable evaluations. Ensure accurate test setup, calibration, and operation of testing equipment and instruments. Prepare detailed test reports in line with BIS formats and maintain complete testing documentation. Handle and manage BIS LIMS portal operations, including sample registration, test result uploads, and report submissions. Follow standard work procedures, maintain lab discipline, and ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements. Stay updated with the latest BIS standards, amendments, and notifications related to lighting products. Support internal audits, equipment maintenance, and calibration activities. Must have a sharp mind, confident voice, and the power to convince with clarity Qualifications & Skills: Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering field. Strong knowledge of BIS testing standards for lighting and luminaires. Hands-on experience with test instruments used in LM-79, IP/IK, and life testing setups. Familiarity with BIS LIMS portal and documentation processes. Good analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
