We are currently seeking a License Compliance Officer to specialise in compliance and investigations within the Software License compliance team at CJCH India. The License Compliance Officer will be an integral part of the Engagement Team and will report directly to the Business Head. The core responsibility is to play a key role in supporting CJCH’s fast-growing development in the field of software compliance, particularly in handling larger cases across all clients. This is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Role with a requirement of 3+ years’ experience in compliance. Role overview, including but not limited to: · The ideal candidate will need to be able to analyse and process high volumes of data from multiple sources across all clients of CJCH. They will not be able to rely solely on phone-home data but will need to be able to find solutions through combining data provided by the client along with partners sources such as Peer-to-Peer data, web monitoring and e-drone, as well as other open-source intelligence. · The role has been designed as a hybrid role with responsibilities in compliance across all accounts. · This role requires the candidate to consult directly with clients, Client Account Managers (CAM’s) and our legal partners globally, scheduling, and leading meetings accordingly. · Maintain accurate and timely records of compliance actions to a high standard on all matters. · Maintain regular communication with the Head of Investigations, Business head and promptly address any feedback provided concerning the compliance process. · Actively participate in the delivery of compliance training to mentor and develop less experienced compliance officers. Required Skills and Experience: · Experience of 3+ years, involving the evaluation, examination, or quality assessment and compliance of investigations with a focus of making informed decisions and recommendations regarding the compliance and negotiations of cases. · Experience of compliance and assessing investigations into offences, events or circumstances relating to software piracy or Copyright /Intellectual Property theft. Competencies: · Proficient in effectively leveraging online and digital resources, including internet and open-source channels. · Possesses knowledge of data privacy regulations and laws. · Focused, analytical thinking, with attention to detail and refined data analysis. · Has strong oral communication skills adapting to the different countries and cultures within which license compliance work is conducted. Able to articulate a solution and communicate it with peers, leadership, clients, and third parties. · Maintains a high standard of written communication, providing concise and relevant correspondence for both internal and external consumption. · Negotiation skills (can be developed / trained, but some experience is required) · Can present their views in the face of adversity but with humility and understanding yet assertive where appropriate. · Must understand the importance of being a team player both within CJCH and client community and understands the importance of a cross country / cultural team ethic (cultural sensitivity/awareness, and client relationship management). · Operate with honesty and integrity. · Enthusiastic and fully committed to fulfilling the role’s responsibilities. · Language skills (desirable but not essential). The role is positioned in a slightly different focus to that of a traditional compliance officer role, it will require advanced skills in compliance and communication. The expectation of the individual being able to independently consult with clients, CAM’s, legal partners to find solutions for complex negotiations and deals.
