Civil Site Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Supervisor with strong hands-on experience in civil construction and pipeline works to supervise and manage site activities related to laying of pipelines for water supply project. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring work execution as per drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety norms.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site activities related to civil construction and pipeline laying works including excavation, laying, jointing, testing, and backfilling
• Ensure execution of works as per approved drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and project schedule
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and labour teams for smooth site operations
• Ensure proper execution as per suitability/design requirements
• Supervise testing activities such as hydro testing, leakage testing, and commissioning of pipelines
• Monitor material usage (DI, CI, MS, HDPE, UPVC pipes, valves, fittings, etc.) and report discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and maintain site records, measurements, and daily progress reports
• Implement and enforce safety practices at site in line with company and statutory safety norms
• Coordinate with local authorities and utility agencies for permissions and shifting of existing services, if required
• Identify site issues and report deviations, delays, or technical problems to the Site Engineer / Project Manager
• Attending meeting with end customer/client/other related authorities.
• Assist in preparing measurements for billing and maintaining measurement books

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech preferred)
• Minimum 1–4 years of experience in pipeline works (rural water supply projects)
• Strong knowledge of pipeline laying methods, jointing techniques, testing procedures, and site execution
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and levels
• Familiarity with site safety standards and quality control practices
• Good coordination, communication, and team management skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in government or large infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of trenching, shoring, dewatering, and road restoration works
• Experience in work Liasioning, Measurement, Billing, etc.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
