Civil Engineer

A Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, supervising, and managing construction projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, infrastructure, and industrial structures. The role ensures that all work is executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with engineering standards.

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare structural designs, drawings, and project plans for civil construction works.
  
• Conduct site surveys, measurements, and feasibility studies.
  
• Supervise construction activities, ensuring adherence to design, quality, and safety standards.
  
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project teams for smooth execution.
  
• Monitor project progress, daily work schedules, and material requirements.
  
• Check and verify technical specifications, BOQs, estimates, and work orders.
  
• Inspect materials, workmanship, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
  
• Prepare and maintain site reports, documents, DPRs, and quality records.
  
• Identify and resolve technical issues, site challenges, and structural concerns.
  
• Ensure safety protocols, quality control, and environmental guidelines are followed.
  
• Assist in planning budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  
• Strong knowledge of civil construction, structural engineering, and surveying.
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, MS Office, and project management tools.
  
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  
• Strong communication and team coordination abilities.
  
• Knowledge of quality standards, safety regulations, and civil codes.
  

Educational Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering or related field.
  

Experience:

• 110 years of experience in civil construction, site supervision, or project management (depending on company requirement).
