Civil Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Handle SAP-related activities, including work order processing, service entry sheets (SES), material/service entries and billing documentation, as applicable.
• Verify contractor bills, Running Account (RA) bills and final bills against approved measurements, work orders, BOQ and contractual terms.
• Review measurement sheets, Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and work completion certificates to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure timely preparation, submission and processing of project bills.
• Maintain accurate records of measurements, bills, work orders and other project-related documents.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, Finance and Purchase departments for bill processing and payment follow-ups.
• Assist in estimation, costing, tendering and preparation of billing-related documents, as required.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in contractor bills, measurements and supporting documents.
• Prepare periodic billing status reports and provide updates on pending bills and payment progress.
• Ensure compliance with organizational procedures and project-specific contractual requirements.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Candidates with practical experience in project billing and contractor bill verification.
• Ability to independently handle billing documentation and SAP-related activities.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering measurements and contractual billing procedures.
• Ability to maintain accurate technical records and submit timely progress reports.
• Capable of working in a project-site environment and meeting billing deadlines.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of contractor billing, RA bills and final bill preparation.
• Working knowledge of SAP and related billing transactions.
• Understanding of BOQ, measurements, work orders and project documentation.
• Knowledge of contractor coordination and billing processes.
• Preferred knowledge of estimation, costing and tendering.
