Role Overview: You will be responsible for analyzing customer specifications to ensure Hitachi - Power Grids solutions meet the requirements. Your role will involve having a good knowledge of design principles for steel structures and reinforced concrete structures using STAAD Modeling software. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze customer specifications to ensure solutions meet the requirements - Have good knowledge of relevant international Standards/Codes such as British Codes (BS), Indian codes, and ACI. Knowledge of other codes like Eurocodes, DIN, ASTM, or equivalent will be advantageous. - Design HV / EHV Switchyard equipment foundations including Power transformers, Reactors, switching equipment, Gantry and Towers, drainage and cable trenches, GIS Building foundations, and Office/Storage buildings foundation. - Review civil drawings and documents to comply with local country regulations. - Lead and coordinate all civil design disciplines for an integrated 3D design following department processes and technical specifications. - Understand design principles, internal guidelines/instructions, and customer contracts with technical specifications. - Consider constructability and HSE aspects during design development. - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree B.E./B.Tech in Civil engineering. - Minimum 7+ years of experience in Civil design of power plants/substations. - At least 3 years of experience in substation design or Industrial structures. - Proficiency in technology knowledge of Steel structures and reinforced concrete structures with knowledge of Staad, AutoCAD/Revit. - Knowledge of HVDC substation design will be an advantage. - Self-starter with the ability to take ownership of tasks through to completion. - Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
