Civil Design Engineer - Solar

As an Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager in the Civil Design Engineer - Solar role within the Engineering Division, specifically in the Solar Business Unit, your responsibilities will include conducting Site Assessments and Feasibility Studies to evaluate the suitability of locations for renewable energy projects. This involves analyzing geo-technical data, topographic surveys, and environmental impact assessments to identify potential challenges and opportunities related to civil engineering design. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in Indian Codes and develop detailed civil engineering designs for solar projects. This includes preparing site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, foundation designs, and road infrastructure to support renewable energy installations. It is essential to ensure that the civil design aligns with project objectives, local regulations, and environmental considerations. Collaboration and coordination are key aspects of this role, as you will work closely with the project development team, environmental experts, and other stakeholders to integrate civil engineering requirements into the overall project plan. Additionally, you will be responsible for analyzing tenders, RFPs, and preparing BOQ for various solar projects, as well as evaluating the technical aspects of civil engineering proposals from vendors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project requirements and quality standards. Quality assurance and risk management are crucial components of this position. You will need to implement quality assurance processes to verify the accuracy and completeness of civil engineering designs, as well as identify potential risks related to civil engineering aspects and develop mitigation strategies. Furthermore, you are expected to integrate sustainable design principles and innovative technologies to enhance the performance and efficiency of renewable energy projects. Staying updated on industry best practices, modern technologies, and advancements in civil engineering design for renewable energy applications is essential. To be successful in this role, you should have software knowledge in Microsoft Office, Civil 3D, Staad Pro, and CAD, along with 8-12 years of experience in the field. A qualification of BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Civil Engineering is required, and experience in renewable energy is mandatory.,
