As an AVP, Cloud Network Engineer at Synchrony, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of Cloud-based network solutions within the Connectivity organization. Your role will involve collaborating with technical engineering and development teams in a matrixed environment, utilizing strong communication skills, project management expertise, and Agile methodologies. Your key responsibilities will include developing and executing a multi-cloud strategy aligned with business objectives, designing and implementing advanced network infrastructures, ensuring security and compliance with industry standards, optimizing networking solutions for cost and efficiency, and fostering cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, DevOps, and Operations teams. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud architecture. Strong knowledge of connectivity technologies such as AWS/Azure Public Cloud, DNS, Load Balancing, and IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible is required. Additionally, experience in highly regulated industries and expertise in designing and securing Public Cloud environments will be advantageous. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a focus on compliance frameworks like PCI DSS and GDPR, and a proactive attitude towards staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies. This role requires working from 3 PM to 12 AM IST.
