Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) - a service provider working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently looking for a Manager, Legal Counsel to join our office in Mumbai, India. The role Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel for CISC, you will become part of a growing and growing team. We will seek to constantly support and inspire you, while focusing on your learning and personal development. Through your work you will build and develop our best-in-class legal services team of CISC, Mumbai and our global CISC teams in Europe, Americas, and Asia-Pacific. The workload will vary, and flexibility is therefore expected from both sides. You will be given the opportunity to influence your daily routine and schedule. You will be involved and build your knowledge in a legal function. Job Responsibilities Renewable projects (wind/solar) EPC contract negotiation and management Project financing and project development General commercial contracts, including power purchase agreements, lease agreements, etc Litigation management (if any) in coordination with external counsel Legal aspects (as it relates to India) of company secretarial, Board and Executive Committee matters, insurance, ethical and governance issues, and ensuring compliance with internal CIP/CISC policies and procedures Leading drafting, reviewing, and finalizing various sourcing and O&M agreements Supporting JV management regarding various shareholders/JV agreements Supporting review of financing and security creation and perfection documents including coordinating with counsels for requisite opinions Supporting the projects team on regulatory, permits and real estate matters, including coordinating with local counsels for conducting title search, managing disputes and regulatory issues, and any other assistance as may be required Supporting on operational issues of CISC India such as NDA/ engagement letter negotiations, advising on HR and Admin issues Preferred Candidate At least 6 - 8 years of relevant work experience with focus on projects and Infrastructure space. In our optimized CIP Platform, CIP Technologies – a project delivery company delivering projects from onshore wind, solar PV and battery energy storage systems, to bioenergy, thermal and transmission infrastructure – is currently looking for the Development Director (Renewable Energy) in Business Development, team to join our office in Mumbai, India Role As a senior member of the Business Development (BD) team, the Director, Business Development will manage various project development and bidding activities. This role involves managing key initiatives, coordinating actions, making working-level decisions on critical issues, conducting financial modeling and feasibility studies, incorporating advisor input, identifying key commercial issues, and delivering approval materials for review and reporting to senior management in Copenhagen/Utrecht. Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to: Guide the development of projects and the bidding process within the Business Development team, bringing a wealth of experience to the role. Manage key projects, coordinate actions, and make critical decisions on financial modeling, feasibility, and commercial issues. Deliver approval materials (slides, modeling outputs) for review and reporting to senior management. Handle pre-NTP development matters, including managing initial and intermediate checkpoints. Coordinate with stakeholders in construction and operations projects, focusing on the commercial aspects. Combine development and commercial due diligence experience for renewable projects. Understand the current regulatory regime in India for the C&I market. Evaluate the financial impact of projects. Play a key role in ensuring a robust project pipeline. Contribute to the development of business segments like Hybrids, Solar, and Wind through cross-functional techno-commercial analysis. Provide regulatory support for business development, project implementation, bidding guidelines, PPAs, and stakeholder representation. You We are looking for a motivated individual with minimum 15 to 20 years of experience in renewable Industry, highlighting significant contributions to project development, financial modeling, and regulatory compliance in the renewable energy field with holding the degree in MBA, BE, or BTech degree, providing a solid foundation in business administration, engineering, or technology which is essential for effectively managing and leading complex projects. We look for the following in a candidate Regulatory Knowledge: Understand India’s regulatory regime for the C&I market. Financial Acumen: Proficient in financial modeling and feasibility studies. Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with partners and maintain key stakeholder relationships.
