To oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods efficiently and effectively, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity in the warehouse. The role involves managing staff, processes, systems, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and legal requirements. Key Responsibilities: Warehouse Operations Management Supervise daily warehouse activities including inbound, storage, order picking, and outbound. Maintain accurate inventory levels using WMS/ERP systems. Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices and proper material handling techniques. People Management Lead and motivate a team of warehouse supervisors, operators, and helpers. Plan shift schedules and allocate resources based on workload. Conduct training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed. Inventory Control Conduct regular cycle counts and annual stock audits. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Ensure proper documentation of all stock movements. Safety, Compliance, and Housekeeping Enforce health and safety procedures as per company and legal standards. Ensure all warehouse activities comply with labour laws and company policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Reporting & Documentation Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports on inventory, manpower, productivity, and dispatch. Maintain records of warehouse transactions, staff attendance, and equipment logs. Cost and Resource Optimization Monitor and control warehouse operating costs. Ensure optimal usage of space, equipment, and manpower. Technology & Automation Work with IT and Operations to implement and upgrade warehouse systems (e.g., WMS, barcode scanners, RFID). Troubleshoot basic system issues and ensure data integrity. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5–8 years of warehouse/logistics experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Proficiency in Computer Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Knowledge of local labour laws, safety regulations, and warehousing best practices.
