Qualifications: Essential Qualifications: MA in Clinical Psychology Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience working with children and adolescents in clinical settings Desirable Qualifications: M.Phil. or Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (with RCI registration preferred) Preference will be given to candidates with an M.Phil qualification. Strong foundational knowledge in developmental psychology and evidence-based therapeutic approaches for children, adolescents, and young adults (infancy to 25 years). Experience and knowledge of Cognitive assessment tools like WISC, WIAT etc. Proficiency in providing individual, group, and family therapy for a range of mental health concerns (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodevelopmental disorders, and behavioral concerns). Cultural sensitivity and awareness, with the ability to work effectively in the context of diverse family structures, socio-economic backgrounds, and communities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with clients, families, and colleagues. Time management and organizational skills to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of care. Ability to engage in reflective practice and ongoing professional development, including receiving and providing supervision. Collaborative mindset for working as part of a multidisciplinary team, while maintaining ethical boundaries and confidentiality. 3. The CF team is led by Dr. Amit Sen, Dr. Shelja Sen and Dr. Kavita Arora, who have deep expertise and extensive experience in the child and adolescent mental health space and our team includes psychologists, therapists, and psychiatrists who work collaboratively to make a lasting impact. Role Overview We are seeking a qualified and empathetic Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry along with a strong interest in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about advancing mental health services for children and youth in India. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive, holistic psychiatric evaluations for children, adolescents and their ecosystems. Develop and execute individualised, child focussed plans of intervention, keeping the systemic outlook in place. Provide psychopharmacological management and ongoing medication monitoring. Collaborate closely with psychologists, therapists, school, communities and caregivers to ensure integrated care. Engage in psychoeducation and parenting to support treatment goals. Participate in case discussions, clinical team meetings, and peer supervision sessions. Provide crisis intervention and contribute to safety planning where necessary. Maintain detailed and timely clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards. Contribute to in-house training, clinical audits, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Clinical skills and Experience MBBS, MD (Psychiatry) Experience working in a dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) unit for at least one year. Exposure to multidisciplinary team settings for at least one year. Based in or willing to relocate to Delhi-NCR. Experience: 2+ years of experience (Desirable experience: 2-5 years, post MD). Open to working in a neurodiversity-affirming and gender-inclusive clinical environment. Completed thesis or academic work in a CAP-related field (e.g., developmental disorders, adolescent mental health). Certification in CAP-relevant clinical skills or interventions. Strong understanding of developmental, behavioural, and emotional disorders. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills Experience working in schools, NGOs, or community-based mental health initiatives. Familiarity with neurodevelopmental conditions like ADHD, ASD, and learning disabilities. Training in trauma-informed care or systemic family work.
