Chemistry Teacher

Job Title: Faculty – Chemistry Department

Reports To: Department Head.

Position Summary:

Venture Skill India Pvt Ltd invites applications for a faculty position in the Department of Chemistry. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in chemistry, conducting scholarly research, mentoring students, and contributing to departmental and institutional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach courses in general, organic, analytical, inorganic, or physical chemistry, depending on departmental needs and candidate expertise.
• Develop and revise curriculum in accordance with current scientific advancements and institutional standards.
• Conduct and publish peer-reviewed research; seek external funding where appropriate.
• Mentor undergraduate and/or graduate students in coursework, research projects, and academic advising.
• Supervise student research projects, internships, and theses (as applicable).
• Participate in departmental meetings, committee work, and other service to the university.
• Maintain office hours to support student learning and engagement.
• Stay current in the field of chemistry through professional development, conferences, and scholarly activity.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field (ABD candidates considered for some positions).
• Evidence of effective teaching at the college or university level.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

• Postdoctoral research experience.
• A record of scholarly publications and/or successful grant writing.
• Experience with online, hybrid, or innovative teaching methods.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and research.

Work Environment:

• Primarily classroom, laboratory, and office settings.
• May include exposure to laboratory chemicals and materials.
• Occasional evening or weekend responsibilities (e.g., for special events or labs).
