Job Title: Chemistry Teacher (Grades 5 to 12) Location: Ashvini Tutorials , Mangadewadi, Katraj, Pune 411046 Job Type: Full-time / Part-time Reports to: Head of Science Department / Principal Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to educate and inspire students from Grades 5 to 12 . The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in chemistry and general science, excellent communication skills, and a talent for making complex topics accessible and engaging for a wide range of age groups. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging chemistry and general science lessons appropriate to students from Grades 5 through 12. Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that align with educational standards and school guidelines. Foster a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation, curiosity, and critical thinking. Use a variety of teaching methods including experiments, demonstrations, multimedia, and hands-on activities. Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, quizzes, projects, and exams; provide constructive feedback. Organize and supervise laboratory experiments and ensure student safety at all times. Prepare students for internal assessments, board examinations, and competitive exams as required. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior. Stay updated on developments in the field of chemistry and educational best practices. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related science field. B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred or as required by the school). Proven experience teaching chemistry or general science to middle and/or high school students. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to adapt lessons for different learning levels and styles. Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and equipment. Desirable Traits: Passion for teaching and inspiring young minds. Technologically proficient; able to use digital tools for teaching and assessment. Creative, patient, and organized. Experience with curriculum development is a plus. Ability to mentor students for science fairs or competitive exams.
