As a diligent candidate for the role, you should demonstrate a profound understanding of P&ID, PFD, and GA drawings. Your proficiency in interpreting process data sheets and instruments data sheets will be crucial for efficiently carrying out your responsibilities. Additionally, familiarity with PHA, HAZOP, and PSSR procedures is essential for ensuring operational safety. Your role will involve anticipating operational challenges by conducting material balance, energy balance, P&ID, and SOP reviews. You will be responsible for developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Training Modules for the operating staff. Conducting classroom and field training sessions to enhance the skills of the operating staff will also be a key part of your responsibilities. Ensuring the process integrity of the plant in alignment with P&ID, layout, and SOP, as well as rectifying deviations, will be among your primary tasks. Your expertise in configuring Distributed Control Systems (DCS) with respect to PID/C&E and Alarms is vital. You will also prepare SOPs for water/solvent trials and oversee their execution. Collaborating with the operation team to safely charge chemicals into new plants and monitoring processes for deviations in standard operating parameters will be part of your daily routine. Through quantitative and qualitative analyses, you will identify root causes for deviations and propose schemes for improvement. Your role will also involve enhancing process safety measures by capturing near misses and unsafe conditions, proposing preventive and corrective actions, and facilitating troubleshooting to achieve design capacity and quality standards. Your knowledge of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities will be crucial for supporting new project launches. To qualify for this position, you should hold a B.E/B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of production experience in large chemical plants. Additionally, you should have 14 to 18 years of experience in projects, showcasing your expertise and readiness to excel in this role.,
