Solid CAM Programmer - Machine Shop Planning yamunanagar 5 - 10 years INR 6.0 - 8.5 Lacs P.A. Work from Office Full Time

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced SolidCAM Programmer with a strong background in machine shop planning and CNC operations . The ideal candidate should have at least 6 years of hands-on experience in programming using SolidCAM , along with sound knowledge of CNC, VMC, and HMC machines . The role involves toolpath programming, production planning, and coordination with the machining team to ensure efficient operations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and generate CNC programs using SolidCAM for various components on CNC, VMC, and HMC machines . Optimize toolpaths and machining parameters to improve cycle time, tool life, and surface finish. Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T and 3D models. Plan and manage job scheduling, machine loading, and resource allocation in the machine shop. Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations. Maintain program files, tooling lists, and setup sheets. Troubleshoot machining issues and suggest improvements for productivity and quality. Assist in tool selection, fixture design review and process documentation. Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality procedures in the shop floor. Required Qualifications & Experience: Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory). Minimum 6 years of experience in CNC programming and machine shop operations. Proficient in SolidCAM software for programming milling and turning operations. Strong knowledge of CNC, VMC, and HMC machines , including setup and operation. Good understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, feeds & speeds and materials. Familiarity with engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining tolerances. Experience in machine shop planning , including workflow optimization and job tracking. Preferred Skills: Exposure to 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor). Experience in a high-mix, low-volume or precision component manufacturing environment.
