CERTIFICATION DECISION OFFICER - TEXTILES

As a Certification professional in the Textiles industry, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the impartiality, reliability, and relevance of certification decisions. This involves performing thorough reviews to check the pertinence, adequacy, and effectiveness of evaluation tasks, results, and any other relevant information. It is crucial to ensure that the certification process is not influenced by any particular interests and issue recommendations for certification decisions accordingly. Your role will also involve making certification decisions such as granting, extending, renewing, maintaining, reinstating, denying, reducing, suspending, or withdrawing certifications. You will need to motivate, formulate, and effectively communicate these decisions to relevant stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for processing appeals and attesting the certification status by issuing detailed certification documents that outline the scope of certification. Furthermore, you will be required to maintain a directory listing of certified products and address any inquiries questioning the validity of certifications by collecting and analyzing relevant information. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Graduation or Diploma in Textile with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the certification industry. Knowledge of certification standards such as GOTS, OCS, and GRS is preferred. Technical skills including exceptional communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office, organizational abilities, multitasking, attention to detail, and time management are essential. In terms of behavioral skills, you should possess a global vision and professional judgment, demonstrate courage and effective decision-making abilities, exhibit agility and adaptability, excel in communication and interpersonal skills, showcase proactivity and creativity, maintain diligence, and demonstrate organization and anticipation skills.
