Its portfolio includes a medical-grade cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) program for anxiety, which has been successfully implemented across the Cornwall region. About the Role We’re looking for detail-obsessed QA testers to help us ship a stable, delightful mobile app experience on iOS and Android . You’ll run structured and exploratory tests, document defects with crystal-clear repro steps, and partner with developers, designers, and PMs to uphold a high quality bar. What You’ll Do Execute test plans and test cases across iOS and Android (phone & tablet), including fresh installs/updates. Perform functional , regression , smoke , UI/UX , exploratory , and compatibility testing across devices, OS versions, and network conditions. Validate push notifications , permissions , deep links , in-app purchases/subscriptions , and analytics events . Run API checks and data validations using proxy tools (e.g., Charles) where applicable. Log defects with clear repro steps , expected vs. actual results, screenshots/video , and relevant logs. Re-test fixes, manage test runs, and update case status in our test management tool. Raise risks, edge cases, and usability issues early; propose pragmatic retest scopes. Contribute to and maintain test suites , bug taxonomy , and a lightweight device/OS coverage matrix . Deliverables Completed test runs with pass/fail results and notes. Defect reports (priority, environment, build, steps, evidence, suspected scope). Sanity checklist for each build (install, login, core flows, settings, notifications). Optional: brief quality report per cycle (key risks, flake, hotspots, recommendations). Your Toolkit (nice if you’ve used these) Test management: TestRail (or similar) Issue tracking: Jira/Linear/GitHub/ClickUp Device clouds: BrowserStack/Device Farm (plus your own devices) Diagnostics: Charles Proxy, Android logcat, Xcode devices & logs, Crashlytics Automation (bonus): XCUITest, Espresso, Appium for smoke/regression packs Requirements 2+ years in mobile QA (consumer apps preferred). Hands-on testing on both iOS and Android with multiple OS versions. Proven defect reporting skills (repros, isolation, impact, and priority). Comfortable testing offline/poor network , localization , dark mode , and accessibility basics (VoiceOver/TalkBack, dynamic type). Strong communication, reliable availability, and async collaboration skills. Able to sign an NDA and follow data-handling /security guidelines. Nice to Have Experience with subscriptions/IAP , authentication (SSO, OAuth), deep linking , or media uploads/streaming . Basic SQL or API testing (Postman). Light automation experience. Test Coverage Expectations (examples) Platforms: iOS 16–18, Android 12–14 (older where usage justifies). Devices: Mix of flagship + mid-range; at least one small & one large screen per OS. Scenarios: cold/warm start, upgrade from prior version, reinstall, background/foreground, limited storage, varied network (3G/LTE/5G, airplane, captive portals). Compliance & Accessibility: permissions flows, tracking prompts, a11y passes on key screens. Contract & Logistics Remote , global; must align at least 2–3 hours with [Team Time Zone].
