📍 Prayagraj, India (On-site) 🏢 Central Law Agency 🕒 Full-time | Three-month probation period About the Role Central Law Agency, one of India’s most respected law publishing houses, is looking for a Legal Editor to join its editorial team in Prayagraj. The ideal candidate will be a law graduate with a strong command over English, Hindi, or both. As a Legal Editor, you will play a vital role in shaping high-quality legal publications by ensuring clarity, accuracy, and scholarly integrity. Key Responsibilities Edit and proofread legal manuscripts, articles, and documents for accuracy, consistency, and readability. Conduct in-depth legal research to verify facts, citations, and references. Manage editorial projects from submission to publication. Ensure all content complies with legal standards, editorial policies, and company guidelines. Draft, refine, and summarise legal content including case notes and commentaries. Collaborate with authors, legal experts, and internal teams to uphold the academic and ethical standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent). Prior experience in legal editing, proofreading, or research—preferably in publishing or a law firm. Strong command over English, Hindi, or both (preferable). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
