You will be responsible for designing the overall architecture and system topology of the Battery Management System (BMS) for accurate monitoring, control, and protection of the battery pack. This includes designing circuitry and algorithms for cell monitoring, balancing, and implementing techniques for uniform cell performance. You will also develop algorithms for state estimation and prediction of battery health, state of charge, and remaining energy, considering factors like voltage sag and internal resistance. Your role will involve designing algorithms for thermal management of the battery pack to ensure safe and optimal performance, including monitoring temperature and implementing cooling systems. Safety features such as overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection, and fault detection algorithms will be designed to manage potential system failures. Communication interfaces will also be created to integrate the BMS with other vehicle systems using protocols like CAN bus. In addition, you will be responsible for developing advanced algorithms for predictive modeling, optimal charging, powertrain integration, and energy management strategies to enhance the electric vehicle's performance and efficiency. Testing and validation of the BMS design will be conducted to ensure reliable operation and compliance with industry standards. Collaborating with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure seamless integration and functionality of the BMS within the electric vehicle. To excel in this role, you should have proven experience in designing lithium-ion battery management systems for electric vehicles, proficiency in hardware design, strong programming skills in languages like C, C++, and Python, and familiarity with battery modeling and control algorithms. Knowledge of electric vehicle system architecture, battery testing methods, and industry standards such as ISO 26262 will be beneficial. Location: Chennai Mode: Work from Office,
