Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable

  Apache Cassandra

  clusters.
• Develop and optimize

  data models

  for high-volume applications.
• Monitor database performance and

  tune for speed and reliability

  .
• Handle

  backup, restore, disaster recovery

  , and high-availability configurations.
• Implement

  security best practices

  for data access and storage.
• Collaborate with development teams on

  schema design

  ,

  query optimization

  , and data flow.
• Automate routine database tasks using scripts or tools.
  
• Perform

  capacity planning

  , scaling strategies, and database upgrades.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  
• [35+] years of hands-on experience with

  Apache Cassandra

  .
• Strong understanding of

  NoSQL concepts

  ,

  CAP theorem

  , and distributed database architecture.
• Proficiency in

  CQL (Cassandra Query Language)

  .
• Experience with

  Cassandra monitoring tools

  (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, DataStax OpsCenter).
• Familiarity with

  data modeling

  for wide-column databases.
• Knowledge of

  Java/Python/Shell scripting

  for automation.
• Experience with

  cloud platforms

  (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
• Familiarity with

  DevOps

  tools and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with

  DataStax Enterprise

  or other Cassandra distributions.
• Knowledge of

  Kafka

• Certification in Cassandra (e.g.,

• Previous experience in
