Responsibilities: Design, test, validate, release and field autonomous robotic systems Specify, procure, and test power train, power systems and power distribution solutions Dimension, specify and procure racking and other structures necessary for automation Design testing fixtures and run test campaigns Source and qualify suppliers Collaborate with cross functional teams on mechanical and electrical design, controls, software, human-machine interface, and more Integrate safety into the design Work closely with product team on developing product requirements Lead the development of technical specifications in response to product requirements Develop and build prototypes and run experiments to inform future designs Develop and release bills of material Follow Review and Change processes, and assist in process improvements Generate technical documentation Lead design reviews and present your work periodically to the company Who you are: You love designing and fielding robotics systems. You have Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Product Design or equivalent. You are a well rounded systems designer, w with 7+ years of experience in: Mechanical design Hands-on fabrication tools, including CNC machining and 3D printing Design for assembly, serviceability, modularity, packing NPI, QA and production management Engineering support for deployed systems Wire harness and cable routing Sensor selection, testing, validation Motor selection and validation Motor drive and encoders selection and integration Understanding of materials FMEA Experience sourcing and managing suppliers Bonus: sizing, specifying, selecting and assembling warehouse racking and conveyance Show more Show less
