CareRay India is seeking a Director - Operations to oversee the overall operations of our India entity, including Production, Quality, Technical Support, Regulatory Affairs, and cross-functional coordination with Sales. This role will play a vital part in driving operational excellence, product compliance, timely delivery, and post-sales customer satisfaction, ensuring alignment with CareRay’s global strategies. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day site operations, including production, quality, technical support, regulatory affairs, and cross-functional coordination. Support sales initiatives and revenue achievement through efficient operational execution and customer-centric service. Ensure smooth production support activities and supply chain coordination for timely order fulfillment. Lead the development and implementation of site-level quality systems, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and relevant regulations. Manage local product registration processes, liaising with regulatory bodies and ensuring timely approvals for product entry. Drive process optimization and continuous improvement across all functional areas. Lead technical support teams to provide high-quality post-sales services and maintain customer satisfaction. Collaborate with finance and global teams on budgeting, cost control, and operational risk management. Build and lead a high-performance, cross-functional local team, promoting accountability, teamwork, and a solution-oriented mindset. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Business Administration, Medical Devices, or related fields. Minimum 8 years of experience in site or country-level operations management, preferably in the medical device or healthcare technology industry. Solid understanding of production and quality workflows; experience with ISO 13485 is a strong plus. Experience in handling product registration and regulatory processes in India. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proven ability to drive operational improvements and support commercial objectives. Fluent in English; proficiency in Hindi or other regional languages is preferred.

Act as point of first reference for all production-related enquiries and collaborate with colleagues in engineering, R&D, operations, logistics, EHS, Quality, and technology in plants. Track and improve project targets (e.g., material utilization rate, per capita efficiency). Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability. Drive local sourcing, vendor development, and component localization to support manufacturing efficiency and cost optimization. Build and lead a high-performance cross-functional team (manufacturing, quality, PMC, registration), promoting accountability, collaboration, and solution-oriented execution. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical, Automation, Industrial Engineering , or related majors. Solid understanding of production management practices such as lean manufacturing, quality systems, vendor management, and EHS. Strong background in precision assembly or system-level manufacturing ; familiarity with complex electro-mechanical products is highly valued. Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, production, quality, supply chain) to ensure product delivery. Strong coordination abilities, emergency handling capabilities, and hands-on experience in on-site quality control and production cost management. Ability to work efficiently in a team and interact with colleagues across different cultures. Excellent verbal and written communication in English; proficiency in Hindi or other regional languages is a plus. Experience in regulatory submissions and product registration in India . Preferably with background in the medical device or high-technology manufacturing industry .
