Car Mechanic

Role summary

We operate/maintain a fleet of 3.5-ton delivery trucks used for parcel logistics in Hungary. You’ll diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues, use OBD/diagnostic tools, handle scheduled and unscheduled repairs, and work independently after a short onboarding.

What you’ll do

• Diagnose & repair 3.5-ton LCVs (brake/clutch, suspension, cooling, alternator, wiring basics).
• Use OBD/diagnostic scanners; interpret codes and perform fixes.
• Carry out routine servicing, breakdown support, and occasional engine/gearbox work.
• Maintain job cards and follow safety & quality procedures.

What you’ll need

• Education: ITI (Mechanic Motor Vehicle/Automobile) / Diploma (Automobile/Mechanical) / BE/BTech (Auto/Mech accepted).
• Experience: 3–5+ years hands-on with cars/LCVs (garage, dealership, or fleet workshop).
• Language: Basic English (speaking & reading).
• Driving: Valid Indian LMV (Category B) licence + ability to obtain an International Driving Permit (IDP).
• Nice to have: Basic welding/denting, electrical troubleshooting.

Work location & clarity

• Interviews and testing are conducted in Kolkata, India.
• The job itself is in Hungary. The employing entity is our Slovak partner, and you’ll be posted to Hungary once permits are approved.
