Car Evaluator

Job Description

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles including exterior, interior, engine, tires, and underbody. Identify signs of accidents, modifications, repairs, and wear-and-tear. Perform basic diagnostic checks and road tests (if required). Assess and assign fair market value to vehicles based on condition, mileage, make/model, year, and current market trends. Verify vehicle documents such as RC, insurance, PUC, service history, and loan status. Record evaluation results clearly and maintain reports for audit and decision-making. Explain valuation findings to customers transparently and professionally. Support the sales team in closing vehicle exchange deals by justifying price quotes. Work closely with the sales, procurement, and inventory teams. Coordinate with RTO agents, finance teams, and refurbishment team if required. Qualifications & Skills: High School Diploma / ITI / Diploma in Automotive Engineering or related field. 1–3 years of experience in vehicle inspection or used car dealership (preferred). Strong knowledge of automobiles and current vehicle pricing trends. Familiarity with vehicle inspection tools and software. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Attention to detail and ability to detect fraudulent documents or tampering. Working Conditions: Field and on-site work at dealerships or customer locations. May involve standing, walking, and exposure to outdoor weather. Requires occasional travel within assigned territory.
