Cloud Engineer (AWS) Remote | Contract CaptainSide is seeking a motivated and skilled Cloud Engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor to our video content platform, you will play a central role in building and managing cloud-based infrastructure to support seamless video uploads, processing, and playback. This is a remote, full-time position (6–8 hours/day) suitable for professionals with 1–2 years of experience in AWS-based cloud environments. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Implement secure and efficient pipelines for uploading, processing, and delivering 60-second user-generated videos Integrate AWS services with backend APIs and frontend applications Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools Monitor system performance, handle incident response, and ensure high availability Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure seamless cloud integration Required Qualifications 1–2 years of hands-on experience working with *AWS cloud services Proficiency with key AWS components such as S3, MediaConvert, CloudFront, Lambda, IAM, and CloudWatch Basic experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions or similar) Familiarity with video processing pipelines or interest in media-related platforms Understanding of cloud security practices and cost management Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools Knowledge of REST APIs and basic backend integration Exposure to CDN tuning or optimization strategies Show more Show less
