Camera ISP (algorithm) Systems Engineer, Staff

As an Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be part of the multimedia systems team focused on innovating to enhance performance and quality on mobile, IoT, and AR/VR platforms. Specifically, you will be working with the Camera Systems team to create embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets. Your responsibilities will include: - Researching and developing next-generation camera features and image quality improvements for Mixed-reality platforms & AI-camera/video capabilities - Prototyping solutions on mobile/XR platforms for proof of concept and demonstration purposes - Developing and optimizing image processing and computer vision algorithms for hardware acceleration - Designing camera systems that optimize imaging performance by balancing power, memory, and silicon area Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field. You should have a background in digital signal & image processing, image quality tuning, CMOS sensors, and multi-camera system design. Working knowledge of C, C++, Matlab, and Python is essential. Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of experience in signal/image processing or computer vision, expertise in XR-related imaging/perception problems or automotive perception, and familiarity with modern machine learning techniques. Academic publications in image processing & computer vision research are a plus.
