Backend Developer Location: Kochi, Kerala (Remote-first) Type: Full-time | Core Team | ESOPs available Experience: 2–5 years preferred We’re building Cakesify — a new-age platform for rare, exotic, and cultural foods. Our mission is to empower independent food creators to productize their craft and build meaningful businesses from their kitchens. We’re looking for someone who enjoys building from scratch, cares about impact, and thrives when things move fast. What you’ll do: Build and scale our core backend systems for marketplace, seller onboarding, and order flows. Work closely with founders to design architecture for scale and modularity. Integrate third-party services — payments, logistics, image processing, CRM, analytics. Implement AI-assisted workflows & automations across seller operations. Optimize database performance, caching, and real-time data flows. Build internal tools to support product, operations & content teams. Tech Stack: PHP (Symfony and Laravel Experience preferred) MySQL API integrations (Razorpay, Google, Brevo, logistics APIs) Vue.js + Tailwind familiarity is helpful Experience with background jobs or queues, cloud deployment, and secure infra setup If you’ve worked on marketplaces, SaaS, consumer apps, or creator platforms — that’s a big plus.
