Job Title: Line Chef (Commis 2) – Continental & European Cuisine Location: Café 702, Vasai West Open Positions: 2 About the Role: Café 702 is looking for passionate and reliable Line Chefs (Commis 2) to join our small yet dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in continental and European cuisine, with a strong interest or background in bakery and baking preparations. As a part of a close-knit team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining food quality, consistency, and smooth kitchen operations. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook dishes from the continental and European menu as per the café’s standards. Handle mise-en-place, food prep, and daily production efficiently. Assist with baking, desserts, and bread preparations when required. Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation at all times. Ensure proper hygiene, cleanliness, and organization of the workstation. Follow standard recipes, portion control, and plating guidelines. Support in managing inventory, stock rotation, and minimizing wastage. Work closely with the Café Owner and Store Manager to ensure timely service and consistent food quality. Contribute ideas for new menu items or improvements based on customer preferences and kitchen capabilities. Requirements: Experience: Minimum 1 year in a professional kitchen (continental or European cuisine preferred). Freshers passionate about cooking and eager to learn are also welcome to apply. Preferred Skills: Basic knowledge of baking and pastry techniques. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks. Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills. Education: Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (preferred, not mandatory). Compensation: Salary Range: ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month (based on experience and skill level).
