As a member of the design team within the WSP Energy Transition team, you will be responsible for preparing drawings with calculations, technical design, and layout design using available CAD/CAE methods. It will be your duty to ensure completion of work within the programme and allotted hours. You will also take on the designer role on Energy projects. Your focus will be on ensuring a coordinated approach to delivering engineering design quality, technical excellence, and innovative design for feasibility studies, concept and scheme designs, detailed design, and construction support phases of projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Preparation of drawings mainly using CAD systems - 3D modeling of various elements such as pipework, equipment, buildings, process modules, tanks and pressure vessels, pipe supports, electrical and control routing - Isometric generation - Preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, and briefing drawings - Preparation of design calculations - Assisting with the preparation of datasheets, specifications, material take-offs, and schedules - Checking of drawings and designs - Inter-discipline coordination and clash checks (manually & 3D model) - Implementing company quality procedures and client design standards - Working as a designer on selected projects, with responsibility for coordinating and supervising other designers and design activities within a project task force - Managing development of CAD systems including 3D modeling and intelligent P&ID systems - Ensuring that safety issues are fully considered within projects WSP is a leading professional services consulting firm with a global presence.
