CAD Designer & Solidworks

As a Mechanical/Industrial Designer at our company located in Sector 80, Noida, you will be responsible for creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Your key responsibilities will include designing retail fixtures, display units, shopfittings, kiosks, signage, POP/POS elements, and store furniture. You will also develop fabrication drawings, assembly layouts, and BOMs for production. Additionally, you will visualize and render retail concepts to support client presentations and modify existing designs based on shop floor or client requirements. It is crucial to work closely with production, installation, and project teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility. Furthermore, you must ensure that designs meet structural, material, and manufacturing standards while maintaining drawing documentation and complying with retail brand guidelines. Participating in design reviews and proposing improvements for cost efficiency and manufacturability are also part of your responsibilities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. - Design retail fixtures, display units, shopfittings, kiosks, signage, POP/POS elements, and store furniture. - Develop fabrication drawings, assembly layouts, and BOMs for production. - Visualize and render retail concepts to support client presentations. - Modify existing retail designs based on shop floor or client requirements. - Work closely with the production, installation, and project teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility. - Ensure designs meet structural, material, and manufacturing standards. - Maintain drawing documentation and ensure compliance with retail brand guidelines. - Participate in design reviews and propose improvements for cost efficiency and manufacturability. **Qualification Required:** - Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Design, Industrial Design, or related field. - Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD. - Proven experience in the retail industry (e.g., fixtures, interiors, display units, visual merchandising). - Strong understanding of materials like wood, metal, acrylic, glass, sheet metal, and joinery. - Ability to interpret sketches, specifications, and retail design guidelines. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes: CNC, laser cutting, welding, carpentry, and assembly. - Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and design aesthetics. If you have experience working with PDM or project management tools, knowledge of 3D rendering/visualization tools, experience in store layout planning or interior design, and the ability to work under fast deadlines in a retail project environment, it would be considered a plus.
