CAD Designer

You will be working at Offgrid Energy Labs, an IP-focused zinc-battery-tech company that has developed ZincGel battery technology for renewable and grid-scale energy storage. Your role as a CAD Designer will involve translating engineering concepts into detailed 3D models and manufacturing-ready drawings, collaborating closely with injection molding firms and mechanical/manufacturing engineers. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop detailed 2D, 3D CAD models and drawings using parametric and surface modeling techniques - Perform design modifications and optimizations for product performance and manufacturability - Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs - Conduct feasibility studies and provide design input based on simulation results - Work closely with Mold makers and Vendors for tryout and adherence to Design - Apply knowledge of materials to select appropriate materials for components and assemblies **Required Qualifications:** - Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or Four Year Diploma in Tool & Die Making or related field - Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD design, preferably in Plastic injection molding - Proficiency in CAD software like SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar - Strong expertise in parametric modeling and surface modeling - Basic understanding of simulation techniques and manufacturing processes - Knowledge of material properties, particularly plastics and metals If you join Offgrid Energy Labs, you will be part of a mission-driven team working on breakthrough clean energy tech, have the opportunity to shape product design from the ground up, work in a collaborative and flexible startup environment, and receive a competitive salary.,
