CAD Designer

As a CAD Designer in the Production Engineering division of the New Projects Engineering department located in Gurgaon, you will be responsible for analyzing and comprehending automobile manufacturing plant layouts. This includes civil engineering aspects, utility systems (electrical and mechanical), and positioning of equipment within the plot area. Your role will involve creating detailed and accurate 3D models based on 2D layouts of civil structures, electrical and mechanical utilities, and equipment/processes within the manufacturing shop area. In this position, you will be expected to develop multiple 2D layout options to optimize factory and shop floor designs, ensuring efficient space utilization and workflow. Additionally, you will be preparing virtual walkthroughs of factory layouts to provide immersive and interactive visualizations of the manufacturing environment. To excel in this role, you should have a Diploma in Mechanical/Production and possess 2-3 years of work experience. Proficiency in 3D software such as Factory CAD and Sketchup is required. Your competencies should include proven experience in 3D modeling and CAD data preparation, specifically in the context of manufacturing or industrial plant layouts using software like AutoCAD, FactoryCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Sketch-up, and Line Designer. A strong ability to translate 2D layouts into comprehensive 3D models with attention to detail in civil, electrical, and mechanical components is essential for success in this position. Familiarity with BIMS is highly desirable and will be considered an added advantage for this role.,
