Title: Drive Train Engineer – Hardware Design Location: Cochin, Kerala Department: Hardware Design Reporting To: Squad Leader – Engineering & Validation Employment Type: Full-time Experience: 1-2 years, Freshers are also welcome to apply. Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Hardware Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop motor control hardware for various EV applications, ensuring seamless hardware-software integration in collaboration with our firmware and software teams. Skill Required: Power electronics design (MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC/GaN devices) Gate driver circuit design & protection techniques Proficiency with simulation tools for hardware design verification. Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded systems Experience with Altium Designer or similar PCB design software Computer Skills Ø Advanced: Altium or equivalent PCB design tool Ø Microsoft Office Tools Ø Simulation tools like Matlab/Simulink PSpice Key Responsibilities: Design & Development Create schematics, select components, and design PCB layouts for high-efficiency motor controllers (BLDC, PMSM) Power Electronics Engineering Develop and optimize power stages, gate drivers, and protection circuits for high-current, high-voltage systems. System Integration Collaborate with firmware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of control algorithms with hardware. Testing & Validation Perform bench testing, debugging, and validation of prototypes under real-world load conditions. Compliance & Standards Ensure designs meet EMC/EMI, thermal, and automotive/industrial safety standards. Simulation & Analysis Use simulation tools (SPICE, PLECS, PSIM) for pre-layout validation and performance optimization. Prototyping and trouble shooting Support prototype assembly, identify issues, and implement corrective actions. Documentation Maintain BOMs, test reports, and design documentation for manufacturing and certification.
