As a Software Engineer with 8+ years of experience in C/C++, you will be working as an acoustic development engineer in the Product Development team responsible for Actran software development in Pune. Your main responsibilities will include: - Development of new features in Actran to meet industrial expectations such as accuracy, performance, and robustness - Participation in acoustic research topics - Providing recommendations on integrating new technologies in Actran for efficient solutions to new challenges - Interfacing with third-party software when necessary - Working on bug fixes - Identifying software design issues and crafting elegant solutions Your role will also involve Quality Assurance (QA), industrial validation, and software documentation with daily interactions with dedicated teams. Qualification Required: - PhD in Applied Sciences, Computer Sciences, or equivalent by experience - Proficiency in Python and C++ programming - Experience with commercial structural dynamics solvers like Nastran, Abaqus, Ansys, Optistruct - Proficiency in programming on Linux environment - Experience in acoustic research - Some experience in designing complex object-oriented software using C++ and Python - Familiarity with versioning system GIT, CI/CD processes, and containerization tools - Experience with Qt framework and VTK library is a plus - Basic knowledge of CAE-FEM tools like Ansa, Catia, Hypermesh is a plus You should possess soft skills such as creativity, self-learning ability, autonomy, curiosity, out-of-the-box thinking, solution-oriented mindset, quality awareness, team spirit, flexibility, and proficiency in English.
