The Accountant will be responsible for managing end-to-end bookkeeping using platforms like QuickBooks, Xero and Tally, processing payroll, handling accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank and credit card reconciliations and generating financial reports and MIS. The Accountant will also be involved in tax compliance - Preparation and filing of GST returns, TDS, and Income Tax returns; Assistance in Statutory and Tax Audits and assisting with subsidy and grant applications. Other duties include supporting project financing, business advisory, estate planning, and wealth management services. Qualifications Education: B. Duties & Responsibilities: • Be available and work between 9am to 5pm Eastern Standard Time (-5:00UTC - Toronto) • Maintain purchasing process, using Autotask to record quotes, manage approval tracking, purchases, shipment tracking and inventory management. • Maintain purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and ensure timely delivery of supplies. • Assist with lead times, RMA process, and warranty tracking • Create and manage standardized purchasing templates and inventory records • Understanding of core IT products (laptops, switches, firewalls, licenses, peripherals, etc.). Awareness of SKU differentiation, compatibility (e.g., licensing versions, form factors), and product lifecycle. • Install, configure and validate PC/Laptop software installations. Office 365 setup / support. • Proficient in Computer hardware trouble shooting • Work with Finance Director to conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements. • Coordinate with the service team to confirm technical specifications and delivery timelines • Work with shipping/receiving in Toronto, Canada to monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to prevent shortages or excess stock. • Evaluate supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise. Requirements and desired skillset: • Understand MSP business and ticketing process • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English • Experience working with IT distributors (e.g., Ingram Micro, Synnex, CDW) or direct vendors. • Degree or Certificate in Business Administration or Information System. • Experience of 2-3 years • Experience in buying, preferably in a managed services or similar industry. supply chain within a services firm or MSP. • Tools: Familiar with PSA/ERP tools (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask, QBO, or inventory systems).
