Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer Department: Electric Mobility / Maintenance Location: Nigdi, Bhekrainagar, Baner Reports to: Maintenance Manager / Fleet Manager Job Type:Full-Time Experience Level: freshers to 1 year --- Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Maintenance Engineer to manage the maintenance, diagnostics, and performance optimization of high-voltage battery systems in our fleet of electric buses. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all electric bus batteries and associated electrical systems. --- Key Responsibilities: * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of lithium-ion and other high-voltage battery systems in electric buses. * Diagnose faults and perform root-cause analysis on battery performance issues using OEM diagnostic tools and software. * Monitor battery health using Battery Management Systems (BMS) and telematics data. * Ensure proper charging practices and maintain records of charging cycles and degradation trends. * Collaborate with OEMs and battery suppliers for technical support and warranty claims. * Implement battery safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and environmental regulations. * Maintain inventory and service records for battery components and spare parts. * Provide technical input on battery replacements, upgrades, and retrofitting projects. * Train junior technicians and support staff on battery handling and safety procedures. * Stay updated on industry developments in battery technology, diagnostics, and energy storage systems. --- Required Qualifications & Skills: * Diploma in Electrical Engineering * Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery technology, BMS, and high-voltage systems. * Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostic tools and software (e.g., CANalyzer, OEM-specific tools). * Familiarity with safety procedures for high-voltage systems (e.g., Arc Flash, Lockout-Tagout). * Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals. * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. * Willingness to work in field and workshop environments, sometimes during irregular hours. * Certification in High-Voltage Battery Maintenance or EV Safety (e.g., ASE L3, EVSE technician training). * First Aid and Electrical Safety certification. **Work Environment:** * On-site work at bus depot maintenance workshops. * Occasional travel may be required for training or off-site support.
