Reports To: Managing Director Production Manager – Instrumentation Manufacturing Company Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee all production activities at our flow meter manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will be a Mechanical Engineer with expertise in managing end-to-end production processes, ensuring timely manufacturing, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Planning & Execution • Develop and implement a production plan in alignment with sales forecasts and customer requirements. • Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machines, and materials to meet production targets. • Monitor daily production output and take corrective actions if targets are not met. • Coordinate with design and R&D teams for any modifications, improvements, or new product developments. 2. Raw Material & Inventory Management • Oversee procurement and inward inspection of raw materials (stainless steel, brass, sensors, electronic components, etc.). • Work closely with purchase and supply chain teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid production delays. • Ensure proper storage, handling, and traceability of materials. 3. Process Optimization & Cost Control • Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other best practices to optimize production processes. • Minimize waste, rework, and defects by implementing continuous improvement initiatives. • Reduce production costs without compromising on quality and performance. 4. Quality Control & Compliance • Ensure that all instruments meet quality standards and specifications before dispatch. • Work closely with Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams for inspections, testing, and calibration. • Maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other regulatory compliance requirements. • Handle customer complaints and non-conformance issues by implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). 5.
