Building Information Modeler (BIM) 3 - Civil 3D

The Civil 3D Modeler is expected to perform a variety of design and drafting activities, including preparing and updating plan/profile drawings for pipeline, road alignment, and grading using corridor modeling, pressure and gravity pipe network, and ground terrain modeling. Additionally, they should establish guidelines and procedures for the standards to be used on projects following client requirements. The ideal candidate should be proficient in using AutoCAD Civil 3D in various areas such as terrain modeling, surface water management projects and studies, stormwater design, hydrology, data shortcuts, pressure and gravity pipe network design, grading design using corridor modeling, production of drawings for construction purposes, integrating Civil 3D output with other BIM software like Revit and Plant 3D. Moreover, the proficiency should include a strong understanding of Civil 3D annotation styles and annotation tools, object and label styles, key objects such as Surfaces, Alignments, Profiles, Profile Views, Surface Analyses, Volume Calculations, and a basic understanding of Feature Lines. The candidate should implement an innovative approach to reduce drawing production costs and hours, efficiently use plugins for integrating other applications, and have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The responsibilities also include attending client coordination and review meetings, preparing and presenting project status updates, supporting Project Lead/Team Lead in engineering-related tasks, implementing safety and quality aspects into design, and being willing to travel abroad/other offices in India for projects and assignments. Minimum Qualifications: - ME or BE in Civil/Environmental Engineering (Preferred) - Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D Certified Professional - Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Independent player with high self-motivation - Experience on International Projects will be an added advantage - Passing of an Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D Certified Professional examination within the last 3 years is a plus. The amount of travel required for this position is 0%.
