The Job The OSINT Researcher conducts thorough research using secondary and open sources to create detailed due diligence reports, identifying risks and synthesizing actionable intelligence for stakeholder decision-making. This role demands expertise in gathering, analyzing, validating, and reporting on information obtained from a wide range of public-domain resources while maintaining the highest standards of legality and ethics. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive open-source investigations using databases, corporate registers, media archives, public records, social media, and other digital sources to gather intelligence on individuals, organizations, and events. Compile, analyze, and cross-reference data for risk indicators such as reputational issues, legal involvements, undisclosed affiliations, sanctions, and ESG compliance. Structure findings into in-depth, evidence-based due diligence reports, presenting insights clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences. Validate data across multiple sources to ensure accuracy, reliability, and actionable insights. Proactively monitor for changes or emerging risks through continuous review of open-source channels. Stay abreast of best practices, regulatory standards, and the latest tools in OSINT and due diligence. Comply with all relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical guidelines concerning privacy, data collection, and reporting. Knowledge of ANY one or more secondary language/s such as Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Telegu, Tamil, Kannada, Urdu, Bangla, Punjabi, Konkani or any of the international languages. Required Skills & Qualifications Demonstrated experience with OSINT frameworks, tools, and techniques for secondary source research (e.g., web monitoring, public records, data visualization, link analysis). Strong analytical skills to assess complex data and identify risk indicators, connections, and red flags. Exceptional written communication skills for creating structured, understandable, and actionable due diligence reports. Familiarity with compliance requirements, GDPR, and ethical standards for information gathering. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and integrity in all stages of the research and reporting process. Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple cases under tight deadlines. Preferred Experience Previous roles in compliance, corporate investigations, cybersecurity, risk consulting, or journalism. Academic or professional background in criminal justice, political science, international relations, or a related field. Experience working with OSINT in the context of anti-fraud, anti-money laundering, or supply chain risk.
