Key Responsibilities: Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and components on boats. Install, service, and maintain electrical equipment such as lighting, batteries, switchboards, pumps, motors, navigation lights, and communication systems. Conduct preventive maintenance and safety checks on electrical systems. Troubleshoot and repair faults in AC/DC circuits, generators, alternators, and charging systems. Work with electronic systems including GPS, radar, sonar, radios, and engine control units. Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals. Carry out cable terminations, connections, and harness repairs in line with marine standards. Ensure all work is performed following safety protocols and classification society requirements. Document repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used. Assist in refits, upgrades, and new installations of electrical systems.
