Job Title: Kitchen Helper – Indian Cuisine Location: Pune Job Type: [Full-Time] Reports to: Head Chef / Kitchen Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Helper with a passion for Indian cuisine to assist in daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will support chefs in food preparation, maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, and ensure smooth workflow in the kitchen. Prior experience in Indian cooking or working in an Indian kitchen environment is preferred. Key Responsibilities:Assist in basic food preparation, such as chopping vegetables, grinding spices, and kneading dough Prepare mise en place for Indian dishes including curries, dals, rice, breads, and snacks Support chefs in cooking tasks as directed Clean and organize kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety Stock and store ingredients properly, ensuring freshness and rotation (FIFO) Wash dishes and clean kitchen areas as required Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen supplies Follow all safety procedures and kitchen protocols Perform other duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen manager Requirements:Previous experience in an Indian kitchen or understanding of Indian ingredients and cooking methods is an advantage Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene practices Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff Team player with a positive attitude Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
