Job Purpose To lead and manage all manufacturing operations in an EMS facility, ensuring high productivity, quality compliance, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery of electronic products (PCBA, Final Assembly) while maintaining safety, quality, and lean operations. Key Responsibilities A. Production Management Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across SMT, Through-Hole, Box Build, and Testing lines. Ensure adherence to production plans, customer schedules, and delivery commitments. Monitor OEE, line efficiency, throughput time, yield, and other KPIs. Implement continuous improvement for cycle time reduction and productivity enhancement. B. Quality & Process Control Monitor FPY and defect trends; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions. Coordinate with Quality, NPI, and Process Engineering teams for stable mass production. C. New Product Introduction (NPI) Oversee NPI builds, DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews, and line readiness. Ensure smooth transition from NPI to volume production. D. Resource & Team Management Manage production managers, supervisors, line leaders, and operators. Plan manpower & infra based on demand forecasting E. Cost Control & Efficiency Drive cost reduction initiatives (material usage, rework, wastage, energy consumption). Support Capex planning for SMT lines, testing equipment, automation, etc. Optimize plant layouts and material flow using Lean tools. F. Compliance & Safety Ensure ESD-safe practices, machine maintenance, 5S, safety protocols, and statutory compliance. Conduct periodic audits (internal/external). G. Customer & Cross-Functional Coordination Interact with customers for builds, audits, escalations, and technical discussions. Work closely with Purchase, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics teams. 6. Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (SMT, MI , Final assembly of electronics products) preference, Mobile accessories and Consumer electronics) Strong leadership and team management skills. Expertise in lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma tools. Hands-on experience with production planning and SAP systems. Problem-solving capability using RCCA, 8D, DMAIC, etc. 7. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical engineering. 10–18 years of experience in EMS manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role. 8.
