About the job: Key responsibilities: A. Technical support & troubleshooting: 1. Assist in resolving hardware, software, and networking issues. 2. Provide first-level support to employees or customers. 3. Escalate complex problems to senior IT staff when required. B. System & network assistance: 1. Support in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems. 2. Monitor network performance and report irregularities. 3. Help in setting up user accounts, emails, and access permissions. C. Learning & skill development: 1. Gain knowledge of company-specific IT tools and systems. 2. Stay updated with latest IT trends, software, and security practices. 3. Shadow senior IT staff to understand workflows and processes. D. Documentation & reporting: 1. Maintain records of technical issues and resolutions. 2. Update manuals, guides, and the IT knowledge base. 3. Prepare simple reports for supervisors on ongoing issues or projects. E. Cybersecurity awareness: 1. Follow data security and privacy protocols. 2. Assist in implementing basic security measures (antivirus updates, backups). 3. Report any suspicious activity or potential threats. F. Project assistance: 1. Support the IT team in ongoing projects like software rollouts, migrations, or upgrades. 2. Participate in testing and quality checks of new applications. 3. Collect feedback from users and share with IT supervisors.
