Overview We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Kubernetes (EKS) , CI/CD pipelines , and multi-service deployments . The ideal candidate will take ownership of setting up our Kubernetes infrastructure, establishing deployment pipelines, and ensuring smooth multi-service operations using GitHub Actions and AWS. Key Responsibilities Kubernetes Setup & Infrastructure Set up and configure AWS EKS cluster from scratch or optimize existing setups. Implement base Kubernetes configuration including namespaces, ingress, autoscaling, secrets management, logging, and monitoring. Ensure secure cluster connectivity (kubectl access, IAM roles, OIDC, service accounts). CI/CD Pipeline & Automation Design and implement GitHub Actions workflows for build, test, deploy, and rollback processes. Create reusable and scalable CI/CD pipelines for multiple microservices. Integrate automated deployment pipelines for staging and production environments. Application Deployment Successfully deploy at least one service to EKS as a baseline. Structure deployment manifests , environment files , and Helm charts / K8s YAML for multi-service deployment. Manage container images, tagging standards, versioning, and release strategies. Environment & Configuration Management Organize and manage environment-specific configuration files (dev/stage/prod). Implement centralized secrets and environment variables management through AWS SSM or Secrets Manager. Follow best practices for multi-service deployment architecture. Monitoring, Logging & Reliability Configure cluster-wide monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana/CloudWatch). Implement alerting and error notifications. Optimize deployments for high availability, scaling, and performance. Requirements Technical Skills Strong experience with Kubernetes , ideally AWS EKS . Hands-on skills with Docker , containerization, and image lifecycle. Proficient in GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools. Strong understanding of AWS services: EKS, EC2, ALB/NLB, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch. Experience creating and managing K8s YAMLs , Helm charts, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Services, and Ingress rules. Knowledge of monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki). Scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, or similar). Soft Skills Ability to understand project requirements and translate them into automation. Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills. Clear communication and documentation abilities. Proactive mindset with ability to work independently. Nice-to-Have Experience with Terraform or IaC tools. Experience in multi-tenant or microservices-based systems. Knowledge of cost-optimized cloud infrastructure design. What You Will Deliver Complete EKS cluster setup and base configuration. Fully configured CI/CD pipeline through GitHub Actions. One service successfully deployed to EKS. Structured environment files, manifests, and deployment YAMLs for multi-service rollout.
