About The Role Brainsquare is looking for a Java/Oracle Support Engineer to join our international support team working on critical enterprise applications. You will ensure the stability and performance of key business systems by troubleshooting issues, supporting users, and collaborating closely with development and infrastructure teams. This is a full-time position within Brainsquare India (Mumbai region) , with rotational shifts and on-call responsibilities . In this hands-on leadership role you will coordinate day-to-day 2nd-line support, mentor a small team, and drive technical improvements. Roughly 75 % of your time will focus on production-support activities (incident handling, RCA, process improvement), while the remaining 25 % is allocated to small-scale Java & PL/SQL development or enhancement work. Your main tasks Lead 2nd-line ticket queues, SLA compliance, shift scheduling, and escalations. Mentor junior engineers and review root-cause analyses. Deliver hands-on resolutions, Java/PLSQL bug fixes, and performance tuning. Liaise with 3rd-line development, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
