Job Title: Senior PLC and Robotics Programmer Location: Mohali/Chandigarh Department: Automation / Engineering Reports To: Automation Lead / Engineering Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Objective We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PLC Programmer with proven expertise in industrial robot programming to join our automation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, debugging, and commissioning PLC-based control systems and robotic applications for custom automation solutions. Key Responsibilities - Develop, test, and implement PLC programs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.) for automated machinery and production lines - Program and integrate industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa) for pick and place, assembly, welding, and inspection tasks - Collaborate with electrical and mechanical design teams to define control architecture and I/O mapping - Conduct on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of PLC and robot systems - Interface PLCs with HMIs, vision systems, sensors, and other automation components - Maintain documentation including ladder logic diagrams, robot paths, and system architecture - Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry best practices - Train maintenance and production teams on system operation and basic troubleshooting Required Skills and Experience - Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and industrial automation - Strong proficiency in ladder logic, structured text, and function block programming - Experience in robotic programming including path teaching, payload configuration, and safety zones - Familiarity with communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Willingness to travel for commissioning and support as required Qualifications - Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering - Certifications in PLC or robotic systems preferred but not mandatory Preferred - Experience with SCADA systems and Industry 4.0 integration - Exposure to machine vision systems and servo motion control - Prior work in special purpose machines, robotic inspection, or high-speed assembly lines.
