Role & responsibilities: Create design concepts, sketches, mood boards, and 2D/3D floor plans using design software. Select and specify materials , furniture, fabrics, lighting, colors, and accessories. Ensure designs comply with safety, health, and building codes . Manage procurement of materials and coordinate with contractors, architects, and suppliers. Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and resolve on-site challenges. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, sustainability practices, and evolving design standards. Communicate effectively with team members and report to the directors Preferred candidate profile: Education: Architect, Civil engineer or Interior designer with on-site experience of at least 2 years. Attention to Detail: Focus on fine details such as textures, finishes, materials, and overall harmony in design. Technical Proficiency: Mastery of design software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3D modeling tools for creating accurate floor plans and digital presentations. Space Planning and Spatial Awareness: Understanding how to maximize space usability and aesthetics following ergonomic principles. Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to understand the project requirements, work with contractors, suppliers, and team members effectively. Project Management: Ability to plan budgets, schedules, and timelines while managing multiple projects. Problem-Solving: Creativity and critical thinking to overcome design challenges
