Job Description

You have the opportunity to join our team as a Senior Welding and Fabrication Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the production, welding, and assembly of booms while ensuring compliance with international welding standards. Your expertise in welding processes, structural fabrication, and CNC operations will be essential for this position. **Key Responsibilities:** - Supervise the fabrication, welding, and assembly of booms according to engineering drawings and production schedules. - Ensure adherence to welding procedures and international welding standards. - Monitor and control key manufacturing processes such as cutting, bending, and machining. - Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle time. - Coordinate with design and quality teams for prototype development and production optimization. - Ensure the correct selection and usage of welding consumables, fixtures, and jigs. - Conduct regular inspections for weld defects, structural integrity, and dimensional accuracy. - Work with the QA team to ensure compliance with quality standards. - Implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize rework and defects. - Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency. - Identify bottlenecks in the production process and suggest enhancements. - Maintain accurate production records, downtime logs, and efficiency reports. - Supervise welders, fitters, and fabricators in the production unit. - Conduct training programs for welders on best practices, safety standards, and new technologies. - Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machine uptime and minimize breakdowns. **Qualifications Required:** - B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field. - Minimum 8 years of experience in welding, fabrication, and production. - Expertise in welding processes (MIG, TIG, SMAW) and structural fabrication. - Experience in boom manufacturing or heavy structural fabrication. - Hands-on experience in CNC cutting, bending, and robotic welding (preferred). - Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies. - Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems for production tracking.
