Book Layout Designer & Indesign Executive

As a Book Layout designer & Typesetter at Acharya Prants, you will play a crucial role in typesetting book content in English, Hindi, and various other Indic scripts such as Gujarati, Tamil, Bengali, etc. Your responsibilities will also include designing visually engaging and reader-friendly layouts that align with modern design principles. Additionally, you will collaborate with editors and designers to ensure high publishing quality and prepare print-ready files with proper specifications. Key Responsibilities: - Typeset book content in English, Hindi, and other Indic scripts. - Design visually engaging and reader-friendly layouts adhering to modern design principles. - Prepare print-ready files with proper bleed, margins, trim size, and CMYK setup. - Incorporate illustrations, quote boxes, and contemporary chapterers into the layout. - Collaborate with editors and designers to maintain publishing quality. - Manage files effectively. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 2 years of professional typesetting experience using Adobe InDesign. - Proficiency in handling multilingual scripts with Unicode fonts and plugins like IndicPlus or World Tools. - Strong understanding of modern book design principles, typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy. - Familiarity with print production workflows and technical precision in file exports. - Ability to work with content in languages that you may not personally understand. - Graphic designing skills are a plus.
