JOB SPECIFICATION R&D Electric Motor Specialist Bonfiglioli Riduttori is a world leader in the development and manufacture of gearboxes, electric motors and gearmotors for a wide power span, for the most disparate applications, predominantly for general industrial, wind turbine and mobile solutions. Bonfiglioli has manufacturing facilities and commercial branches worldwide, and the Group R&D offices are based in Italy. Outline of the role The role will involve design, support and provide application based electric motor solution for Indian market for Electric vehicles, Industrial segment, mobility segment and wind turbines. To lead electric motor platform in India working closely with global R&D team based in Italy. Job Qualifications : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical and Electronics Engineering Experience: 2 to 5 years of previous experience gained within the electrical motors industry. Roles and Responsibility Expertise in the designing, sizing, Selection of electric motors Working closely with customers to provide and propose technical solutions. Selection and proposal of electric motors with respect to specific application. Working closely with Bonfiglioli teams in Italy and Vietnam. Work with cross functional teams to support the resolution of field complaints. Work with R&D teams for gearboxes to define joint solutions for market. Required Skill An excellent understanding of the different electric motor types (i.e. induction motors, permanent magnet synchronous motors, reluctance synchronous motors), to be intended as: basic operating principles, architecture, related issues and possible causes. A basic understanding of the most common electronic drives and control techniques would be an advantage. Should have excellent familiarity in the using of CAD software and 3D dynamic simulation software, for electromagnetic & thermal simulation such as Speed, Motor-Cad, Flux (or similar)To be familiar with Indian and international standards corresponds to electrical motor.To be familiar with the most common testing methods of electrical motors and to have the ability to effectively understand related test report and results, correlating the outcome to the machine behavior. To be familiar with the manufacturing methods of the electric motor components and full assembly, and related manufacturing issues Excellent written and spoken communication in English
